Jordan | 06.03.12Finished piece. Definitely was a tricky piece but worked on it for hours up late so this is how it turned out. Probably one of my most well put together one so far, in terms of editing and such. I’m learning that the more I do this, the better I get with skin coloring. I hope that my skills will progress more as I do more portraiture work. This is going to be part of the Portrait Series that will be on my soon to be Etsy shop within the next month or so. There will be limited prints of each portrait. So stay tuned if you’re interested in purchasing a print!© May Xiong 2012

Untitled | 06.19.12It took me a while in deciding which edit I liked better at the end and so I stuck with a lighter palette and kept it pretty minimal. So here is the finished piece.© May Xiong 2012

Sneak peek of my latest piece. I tried to see if I can fit in two drawings before 5pm (before work at 6pm) but I realized that I tend to spend a lot of time on just one piece in general. Just a screenshot via PS. Doing finishing touches and then will post up final piece when done later.mx

Intertwined | 08.30.12 Inspired by Sigur Rós and Múm. I’ve always been fond of double of things. The repetition of patterns, lines and shapes. Having it be a connection to how we think, see and feel things. I wanted to keep this as minimal as possible with a hint of pieces that thought best fit. I really like the cropped versions of this piece as well but I decided to upload the entire piece anyways. This piece will be submitted to the arthop show in October. Stay tuned for more works coming up. © MX 2012
